In July we started submitting FOIA requests to obtain copies of documents held in the Department of Justice’s library in Washington D.C. Many of these documents are available no place else and appear to be subject to public disclosure under the FOIA.
We’ve sent e-mail messages, left phone messages, and sent letters. Yet the JMD doesn’t even send a receipt, let alone process the requests.
So, today we filed suit in the District of Kansas, asking the court to compel the agency to respond to our requests. Here is the Complaint we filed: FOIA Complaint re DOJ Library.
